● The Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek takes you through a range of altitudes, from the starting point in Paro at approximately 2,200 meters (7,218 feet) above sea level to the highest point at Labatama Pass, reaching approximately 4,300 meters (14,107 feet) above sea level.
● Total trekking distance covered during the six-day journey is approximately 50 to 60 kilometers (31 to 37 miles), with varying distances covered each day.

  1. Day 1: Arrive in Paro +

    Once reaching the Paro International Airport, be ready to greet your hiking guide.After arriving at your hotel, spend the day getting used to the higher altitude.Discover Paro Town and pay a visit to neighbouring sites including Kyichu Lhakhang and Rinpung Dzong.

  2. Day 2: Genekha to Paro +

    Travel by car from Paro to the trek's starting village, Genekha.Set out on a hike through gorgeous valleys and thick forests towards Gur village.Spend the night camping at Gur Village, which is surrounded by majestic scenery and high mountains.

  3. Day 3: Gur to Labatama+

    Trek the 4,300-meter-high Labatama Pass on your way from Gur village to Labatama.Along the route, take in the breath-taking views of alpine lakes and snow-capped peaks.Camp close to the breathtaking Labatama Lakes and have a well-earned break.

  4. Day 4: Exploration of Labatama +

    Take a day to explore Labatama's lovely surrounds.Take a hike to Relitso Lake, Hento Lake, and Janetso Lake, three neighbouring lakes.Enjoy a picnic by the lake while admiring the peace and quiet of the pristine environment.

  5. Day 5: From Panka to Labatama +

    Hike through rhododendron trees and verdant meadows as you descend from Labatama to Panka.Travel past multiple shepherd's camps and come across yaks munching on the alpine meadows.With sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, spend the night camping in Panka.

  6. Day 6: Panka to Talakha +

    Trek through virgin forests and rugged terrain as you make your way from Panka to Talakha.After you descend to Talakha village, you will say goodbye to your hiking group.Celebrate finishing your Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek by making your way back to Paro.
